Reference Interval Verification Form

Reference Interval Verification is used to verify the already established reference interval. It is required by many accreditation organizations. 20 samples from 20 healthy volunteers are required. Proper selection for volunteers is recommended. You have to consider all preanalytical & analytical variables e.g. age, sex, time for collection, .. etc.

1. At new instrument instillation.

2. Changing method of measurement.

3. Other indication by facility policy or accreditation standards.

3. Many white fields contain formulas. Overwriting , modifying or deleting a white field may damage formula(s).

4. Specimens and procedure are mentioned in the form.
