Previously diagnosed as CLL responded to treatment. CBC results were normal. Visited the hematology clinic for follow up. No organomegaly or hepatosplenomegaly.

Relapsed CLL

Comment / Findings

Marked Leukocytosis of mature looking lymphocytes (small sized cells, high nuclear cytoplasmic ratio, condensed chromatin, no nucleoli, trace basophilic cytoplasm). Smudge cells are seen. Few atypical mononuclear cells of irregular nuclear outline are seen.

Final Diagnosis

Relapsed CLL

Additional Note

Immunophenotyping confirmed the relapse.
